Help me grow
The Help Me Grow Newborn home visit was designed to provide a visit by a Registered nurse to any parent and new baby within the first six weeks of life or six weeks after baby is discharged from the hospital. The nurse will provide a maternal and newborn assessment, offer free gifts, and provide health education. These health educations include development, breastfeeding, SIDS, immunizations, well baby care, safety, and shaken baby syndrome, mother care, feeding guides, and other parent/health information.
The nurse is also able to provide referrals for additional services in the community as well as to the Help Me Grow service coordinator when a need is identified or expressed with the parent's consent. This is a free service offered to the community and can be scheduled at the parent's convenience.
Please visit the Ohio Help Me Grow website for more information.
