Community Health

The Community Health Division was established by the Board of Health in 2006 with a mission to improve the health status of the residents of Erie County by collaborating with community health partners to monitor community health status, and provide effective interventions that would address high priority health needs.  The division is lead by a director and has 6 main areas of focus, epidemiology and surveillance, Erie-Huron WIC (Women, Infants and Children), health education, community outreach and promotion, grant procurement and health assessment.

Getting Connected Training - The "Getting Connected" training is a fun, interactive way to learn about:

  • Quickly and effectively connecting consumers to information, appropriate services and supports in the community
  • Refresh with colleagues on utilizing good customer services skills
  • Practicing the "No Wrong Door" protocol
  • Utilizing 2-1-1 effectively and efficiently to better serve consumers
  • Other large systems/agencies that serve consumers in Erie County
